Designer collaboration excitement

This morning fiend out fashionistas filled around the outside of H&M's 5th ave flagship store for the launch of COMME des GARÇONS for H&M. I wanted to join the masses but the weather was really crappy, and besides I did NOT feel like fighting anyone for a polka dotted shirt. According to WWD the $349 dress/jacket sold out within the first 5 minutes. I attended the Roberto Cavalli launch last November and I've witnessed the cat fights that can go down at these events, trust, it isn't pretty. H&M discovered a way to regulate the chaos this time, customers were only allowed to purchase 2 of each item. According to The Gazette "People were decent''. Re-sellers are going to make a killing over Ebay selling everything probably triple the price they paid.

I'm more excited for the Alexander McQueen Calabo with Target. McQ Alexander McQueen for Target will feature lightweight sweaters, skinny jeans, bubble dresses, slim skirts and cuffed shorts. Signature pieces include a coated cotton poplin black trench, a rock ’n’ roll gray denim cropped studded jacket, a men’s wear-inspired tuxedo blazer and a color-blocked one-shoulder dress with bubble hem. The collection also will include swimwear and cotton voile print scarves.
