Tres Chic: Dooney & Burke "Hayden" Clutch

Our favorite "Hero's" star Hayden Panettiere has teamed up again with Dooney & Burke to create this adorable and actually quite stylish clutch. Maybe the launch of this bag will breathe some life into the dying brand. The "Hayden" is crafted of soft supple Italian calfskin and trimmed with gold leather piping. Jacobs, Sprouse's, and Vuitton's OH MY

Once in a while I get really excited about mainstream luxury designers. According to WWD Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton are paying homage to Stephen Sprouse.To show their admiration for the late designer and artist, next month, Jacobs, Vuitton’s creative director, is using his hit 2001 collaboration with Sprouse for a new, limited edition collection of accessories and ready-to-wear. Jacobs even doffed his duds again, posing in the nude painted in Sprouse’s graffiti for Harper’s Bazaar’s January issue. I'll report further on this collaboration as soon as my issue is received. I'm really excited about this collection. Jacobs says, “It almost becomes a classic, like a Chanel jacket, or a smoking,”(FYI "Le Smoking" :an iconic suit popularized by Yves Saint Laurent ) Collections like these can make a girl max out her credit cards, but it's absolutely worth it.

Comming to America : Carine Roitfeld

It's all over the grid!.. News is that Carine Roitfeld, Editor in Chief of French Vogue is supposed to replace American Vogue's EIC, Anna Wintour. Say it Ain't so! It just doesn't feel right. Anna has been doing her thing for about 20 years and Vogue has been a household name, and stabilized American women's fashion repertoire for decades. And for Carine to fly on over from Paris just isn't right to me. Sure Anna was born in London but, America has been her home for quite some time now. How come they can't just pass the mag on to Andre Leon Tally?.. Well maybe not. But I will admit, Vogue has become a slight yawn, after my subscription was up I continued with Harper's Bazaar instead. But I love Anna and she is actually one of my role models ( who wouldn't want a whole book written about their bitchy-ness) Maybe Mrs. Wintour is tired, she has her hands in a lot of projects and times aren't as happy as they were 10 years ago in America. I'm hoping these rumors aren't true, but only time will tell, until then Vogue is still America's fashion bible and I don't think its fair to have a Parisian oversee it. (even though they are so chic) American Vogue needs to keep it's American appeal, that's what differentiates all of us anyway.

Kickin' It:Nike WMNS Skinny Dunk

I am a girl who loves her share of high heeled pumps, but there's a time when I have to come down from my high, and when ballet flats just aren't cutting it for my comfort level, it's time to throw on my kicks.



I haven't bought a pair of sneakers in a long time because there's a certain "look" my sneakers must possess. I'm still a fashionista so I won't be running around in trainers that everyone else is sporting, they must have some sort of stylish essence that makes them "Renee's sneakers".



While browsing my blog roll earlier I came across these fantastic Nike Dunks on Nitrolicious. They are women's "Skinny Dunks". They have all the same appeal as men's dunks, just cut slimmer for her. PERFECTION. Dubbed Feathers and Butterflies, they should be released for spring 2009, I can't wait b/c I want both.
